The main goal of the project is to connect the food processing sector with the tourism sector in order for Croatia to become a recognizable gastronomic destination and enter the 20 leading tourist destinations in the world. The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts actually turned out to be a mediator between the tourism and agricultural sectors in another story about merging green and blue Croatia. The strategy brochure states that catering in Croatia is an activity that is developing faster than the economy as a whole, with a growing number of facilities and employees, as well as revenue and profit growth in the period from 2016 to 2018. The document analyzes the current state of gastro and “gourmet” offer in Croatia, analyzes the main market trends in the field of eno-gastronomy, defines the vision of the development of Croatian gastronomy and “gourmet” and made an action plan.center_img It is interesting that the client of the strategy, which is several thousand pages long and which was allegedly worked on for three years, is the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, and not the Ministry of Tourism, which should be responsible for implementing the Action Plan. Earlier this year, in cooperation with the WYG Conference, the Institute for Tourism and the Institute for Development and International Relations, a major project entitled “Croatia, the new gastronomic icon of Europe: Strategy for the development of gastronomy,” gourmet “and Croatian gastronomic tourism with the Action Plan 2019 – 2022. ” last_img
