first_imgA man wanted down for gunning down a Trump supporter in downtown Portland last weekend was killed in Lacey, Washington last night when authorities tried to arrest him during a traffic stop.Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies found 48-year-old Michael Forest Reinoel at a home in Lacey when the suspect exited the house and got into a vehicle.As officers pursued and tried to stop the car, shots were fired killing the suspect in the gunfire. No officers were injured in the shooting.Reinoehl had described himself in a social media post as “100% ANTIFA,” and had been shot at one protest and cited for having a gun at another.The fatal shooting comes less than a week after 38-year-old Aaron “Jay” Danielson died from a gunshot wound to the chest Saturday near Southwest 3rd Avenue and Alder Street as a large group of protesters and counter-protesters were moving throughout the area.Officers arrived on-scene to find Danielson with a gunshot wound to the chest but he was later pronounced dead.Reinoel’s encounter with federal agents came shortly after he gave an exclusive interview to VICE News in which he appeared to acknowledge having killed Danielson on Saturday.In the interview, Reinoehl said he “had no choice” but to do what he did because he thought he and his friend were about to be stabbed.last_img
