FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The fifth annual Crystal Cup gets underway tomorrow evening. Opening faceoff for the tournament is at 6 p.m. with 10 games taking place at Charlie Lake.Among the teams taking part will be the Griffins who are the defending champions. The group has won the event three times overall and includes Fort St. John Huskies assistant coach Todd Alexander.Among the events taking place will be a pancake breakfast Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. through 11 a.m. There will be pancakes for 200 people, or until supplies last. There will also be musical entertainment Friday and Saturday night starting at 7.- Advertisement -Making an appearance at the tournament will be Fort St. John alum Mark Hartigan. His professional playing career spanned 11 seasons and included Stanley Cups with the Ducks and Red Wings. Hartigan will be taking part in a ceremonial faceoff to begin the tournament Friday at 6 p.m. He’ll be spending most of Saturday with the children’s event at the tournament.
