first_imgDunfanaghy Golf Club News: The Galetacht team was in Rosapenna on Saturday and Anthony Gallagher was victorious winning on a BOT from Cornie Mc Mullen. Well done to everyone who travelled and played in testing conditions. Thanks to Rosapenna for having the course in great condition on the day. The Challenge Cup entry sheet is on the notice board and anyone wanting to play in this competition needs to have their name entered by the 16th of May.We are entering the time of the year where all the cub teams will be trying to progress through the different competitions. We wish every Captain and their teams the best of luck. Let’s hope we can have a team that can go on a winning streak this year. Some of our club members have organised a trip abroad for the next week and we hope the sun shines when they are away and we look forward to hearing the tales on the golf courses when they return.We will have an exciting night in the clubhouse this Saturday night. The final part of the “Come Dine With Me” takes place with everyone coming to the clubhouse afterwards. Sarah and Kevin are also putting a very attractive Food menu together for anyone wishing to have a meal at the clubhouse on Saturday Evening from 6pm to 8pm (Very Keen Prices). There will be music in the clubhouse afterwards by the band “men Who knew Too much”. This promises to be a great night and you will not want to miss it.Anyone that has to play a match in the mixed foursomes need to get arrangements put in place to get the match played as time is running out. There has been a lot of matches played over the last few days with some notable results already. I know everyone will want to play in the Grand Final in June. You are able to play in this completion on any day of the week and with whoever you wish to play with, so long as they have a GUI or ILGU handicap. Best of luck to everyone in May. Remember the best club team outside of 1st,2nd and 3rd qualifies for the final each month. We had no team from the club to qualify in 4th place last month!!!.Function Room for Private parties:We have hosted a number of private functions in the clubhouse recently and these have proved to be a great success. If you, or someone you know, is organising a private function please be aware that the clubhouse is available free of charge, with exclusive use for the occasion. So far, the feedback that we have been getting is that the golf club is the ideal venue for parties of up to one hundred people.
