Keppel improved to 3-0. Mountain View slipped to 0-3. The Aztecs got off to a slow start, turning the ball over and not executing plays. But down by 12 points with with only three minutes left in the game, senior Mike Edwards returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to give the Aztecs some quick points, and a chance to win it late. Keppel was led by wide receiver Billy Lam, who had two big catches for touchdowns. He also had an interception on defense. Quarterback Paul Lee finished the game with 158 yards passing to go along with two touchdowns. He also rushed for 66 yards. Mountain View was the hard- luck loser. The loss overshadowed a solid performance by running back Manuel Umana, who finished 181 yards rushing, and 46 receiving. He scored four touchdowns. ALHAMBRA — The Keppel High School football team rallied for a 36-32 victory over visiting Mountain View in a nonleague game Friday night.
