Patrick McBrearty scored a brilliant goal following a sensational team move that involved several players in fast flowing move that was started by goalkeeper Michael Boyle.Donegal made a blistering start and scored two points inside the first ninety seconds of the match with McElhinney and MacNiallais registering scores.Mayo hit back with FOUR unanswered points before McBrearty blasted to the roof of the Mayo net to put Donegal back in charge.MacNiallais added two more and McBrearty knocked over a free to put Donegal FOUR ahead with seven minutes of the half to go.
